The Reformation refers to the changing of the Catholic Church in the 1500s. It starts when Catholic priest Martin Luther posts his 95 theses or complaints with the Catholic Church. He was mostly upset with the practice of the Church selling indulgences or "get out of sin free cards".

The ideas of the Reformation start in Germany but are quickly spread throughout Europe by means of the printing press.

New sects of Christianity form throughout Europe including Lutheranism, Calvinism, and Puritanism.
