The Industrial Revolution started in Britain because of its geography, strong economy, new technology, and population growth. It would eventually spread all across Europe and the United States in the 1800s.

he Industrial Revolution marked the rise of factories and manufacturing. Products could now be massed produced in factories which made them cheaper.

Urbanization = movement of people from farms to cities.

Karl Marx came up with the idea of Communism (Marxism). The idea that there is a class struggle between the haves and have-nots. He thought it wouldn't end until the workers rise up and destroy the factory owners.

Whole idea = Proletariat will rise up and destroy the Bourgeoisie

ANYTIME YOU SEE THOSE WORDS THINK COMMUNISM:

Bourgeoisie = upper middle class = owners = haves

Proletariat = lower working class = workers = have-nots
