Started in China by philosopher Confucious. Confucianism focuses on the idea of filial piety or honroing your family. Confucious stated that a person's actions can be determined by 5 relationships.

Confucianism is a philosophy and moral code, followers do not pray to any gods.

Confucious created the idea of civil service exams. These were tests that people had to pass to see if they were qualified enough to hold government positions. This impacted China by helping to create a more stable and effective government.
