Founded by Jesus Christ in the Middle East. Christianity is a monotheistic religion which shares some beliefs and origins with Judaism and Islam. The sacred text for Christians is the Bible. The Bible contains parts of the Torah.

The major holiday is Easter where, according to Christians, Jesus was killed and then rose from the dead making him divine.

Christianity started as a mystery sect of Judaism until its adoption by the Roman empire in the 300s CE. Christianity helped shape Europe during the middle ages and beyond.

Christianity today is divided into many sects with the largest being Roman Catholicism. Roman Catholicism is lead by the Pope from Rome.
